Trunk Sanitary Sewer Collection Systems
Trunk Sewers are generally defined as those that do not include local service connections directly to individual lots. Instead, they collect sewage from local collection systems (sometimes several) and transfer the sewage to either a pumping station or sewage treatment plant. These sewers are larger in diameter, can cross Municipal boundaries and be many kilometres in length. SRM Associates has designed many Trunk Sanitary Sewers for Regional and local Governments and Municipalities. Several of these projects were done in conjunction with the redesign and construction/reconstruction of roadways, for both Private and Public clients.
