Retaining Walls
When the design of a transportation structure project requires a retaining wall, SRM works with the geotechnical consultant, material suppliers and our Client to develop an appropriate retaining wall system. We have experience with cast-in-place concrete retaining walls supported on deep foundations as well as on spread footings; precast concrete segmental retaining walls with tie-backs; mechanically stabilized earth; and armour stone and gabions. When aesthetics are important, selection of an appropriate form liner is specified to improve the appearance of cast-in-place concrete retaining walls.
