Sernas Associates works jointly with their sister company, Geomorphic Solutions, on a range of environmental projects tailored to their cumulative skill sets. The combined team has a considerable range of talents and broad work base that is demonstrated by their engineering/geomorphic projects across and beyond the Greater Toronto Area. Sernas Associates lends their engineering office and field experience to supplement and build on Geomorphic Solutions expertise around the water. The combined team provides an optimal fit for a range of design and restoration projects. Our objective is to act as a seamless unit while providing unique and effective solutions to our Clients that exceed the Agency requirements and benefit the environment. Specific capabilities include:
- Environmental Assessments for fish restoration and channel realignment works.
- Hydrologic modeling to support flow regime definition for specific study areas.
- Detailed hydraulic analysis and documentation for crossings size completed in conjunction with natural channel design works.
- In-house coordination of grading and design issues for resolution of channel and floodplain corridors.
- Preparation of phasing, erosion and sediment control plans including staging and access area delineation in consultation with environmental team.
- Contract administration and tender preparation for design/restoration works.
