Subwatershed Studies and Master Environmental Servicing Plans
Sernas Associates has an array of experience that lends confidence and brings value to the completion of subwatershed studies and Master Environmental Servicing Plans. They have been involved with steered and carried out implementation of subwatershed studies and MESPs within Southern Ontario. We recognize the value of coordinated studies in maintaining environmental integrity while providing a framework for development. Sernas Associates brings in-house strengths in project management, as well as strong technical abilities in water resources. Specific capabilities include:
- Project management for steering and coordination of various study elements such as: topographic, hydrogeologic, archaelogical, geotechnical and fluvial geomorphic components.
- Development and evaluation of various stormwater management and environmental strategies to meet resource goals and objectives.
- Completion of hydrologic and hydraulic study components to complement and guide the engineering component of the study, including feature-based water balance assessments and continuous simulation erosion modeling.
- Finalization of subwatershed strategy based on assessment of alternatives in light of resource goals, cost analysis, potential consultation meetings and review agency feedback.
