Preparation of a detailed Traffic Management Plan (TMP) and Traffic Management and Implementation Plans (TMIP) is essential to ensure the safety of all road users and it assures the smooth operation of the road network. A neighbourhood traffic management plan illustrates (at the design level) appropriate transportation control measures, parking restrictions, pavement markings, transit stop locations, pedestrian crossings, bike routes / lanes, and trail mapping as well as signage requirements.
