Traffic Engineering
Traffic Engineering can be described as the identification, placement, design, and construction of transportation infrastructure necessary to achieve a desired level of mobility, economy, and safety. These infrastructure elements include most obviously roads, highways, sidewalks, bike lanes, and rail tracks/lines, but increasingly involve public transport facilities and mass transit services, which are critical to ensuring economic sustainability.
