Master Plan / Secondary Plan / Block Plan Studies
Large scale transportation studies are critical to establishing the need for broad roadway, transit, pedestrian, trail systems and cycling improvement strategies. They often inform municipalities on the need for area-specific (or indeed, municipality wide) Development Charges, but most importantly provide city planners and engineers with the information necessary to achieve a community (or City-wide) development vision. These large scale studies tend to be very iterative (the transportation experts working closely with Planners and Engineers to reach a balanced solution; they are often community driven (either through policy or triggered by development), and; widely participated on by community leaders and public stakeholders. Transtech staff has significant experience with large scale transportation assignments for both the public and private sector.
