Construction Operation / Management Plans
Construction operations/management plans are a critical part of the approvals process. Any party looking to obtain approval to work on public roadways or obtain permits for construction on private sites require these plans. Safety for workers and motorists is vital including workers setting up, operating, and removing traffic control within the component areas of the work zone. The purpose of these plans is to provide the guidelines for traffic control to be used by persons or agencies performing construction, maintenance, and utility work to achieve acceptable levels of safety for workers and motorists. Proper application of work zone traffic control devices such as signage, channelizing devices (cones, barrels, concrete barriers, etc.), temporary markings and delineation, all contribute to continuity of access / movement, but enhance safety of workers (and drivers/pedestrians) within the work zones.
